  • Hey, I’m Kendra!

    I have been a licensed cosmetologist for ten years and I love what I do. I do all types of haircuts at all lengths. My personal style leans towards punk retro inspired haircuts that are low maintenance and don’t require too much effort or styling on the daily. I can absolutely do more classic cuts or looks that require products and more styling. I personally love wash and go styles that work with your hair’s natural texture. I love bold edgy looks. My favorite haircuts to do are shags and mullets.

    I love when clients come in with ideas, pictures and words that describe what you’re looking for. It’s hard for me to choose a hairstyle for someone else especially if it’s our first time meeting, so if you have no idea what you want consider booking a consultation in addition to your haircut appointment to ensure we have enough time to give you a great look.

    I also love when clients come with clean hair so we can skip the shampoo and just focus on doing a great haircut (I’m a perfectionist and I like having ample time to do the cut and personalize it to you). Let me know at the beginning of our appointment if you are wanting a wash or specific styling at the end so I can manage our appointment time best.

    And about me? I am from Washington state and I have been living in Queens since May 2021. I have a strange little chihuahua mix named Chiquita who is my everything. On my days off I love doing nothing and recharging my social battery by watching Antique Roadshow or playing games on my Switch. Maybe going to the movies if I’m feeling like getting out of the apartment. Some days I am an extrovert and some days I am more introverted, so please don’t take it personally if I’m not the most chatty during our time together. Some days we see 10+ people a day so I have to pace myself socially. If you want to get me talking, I love to talk about tv, movies (especially modern horror), Ru Paul’s Drag Race, and My Chemical Romance, to name a few things.

    She has been cutting hair for about 19 years, starting in high school. Alex graduated from the Aveda Institute in 2014 and has since worked all over NYC including on Broadway, Fashion Week as well as celebrity work. She also holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Syracuse University and worked as formative director and hairdresser at a leading mobile hair company.

    Alex is a “thorough professional” (Thrillist) who is always learning and whose haircut fully addresses your own vibe and expression.

  • Hello, I’m Noah (he/him). I have been styling hair for 3 years originally in North Central Florida. I have recently relocated to Brooklyn, New York. I love doing alternative styles, vivid colors, and blondes. I really enjoy low maintenance fantasy colors and fun peekaboo placements. I’m also down to blow out your hair any time!

    I enjoy connecting and meeting with clients that make me feel like I’m hanging out with my friends. Being able to collaborate on a style and creating a look is an amazing feeling. Helping my clients feel confident and cool with their new look is one of the most rewarding aspects of my job.

    Jonny specializes in shags, mullets, gender affirming cuts, fades, pixies, short cuts, makeovers, pixies, classic cuts, razor cuts & anything creative :)

    They believe that hair is an important extension of self, and are dedicated to making clients look and feel their absolute best every time.

  • Abby (She/They) is our new apprentice/junior barber and curly hair enthusiast who loves doing all kinds of cuts—fades, pixie cuts, mullets, asymmetrical cuts, and more. When you’re in her chair, you can expect to feel comfortable, cared for, and CUTE!

    After 8 years of working at arts nonprofits and education, Abby pivoted to pursue their love of barbering full time. Outside of barbering, Abby sings in an indie duo, teaches marching band, and plans community events.

  • Hi, I’m Elizabeth, any pronouns will do. I’m a hairdresser with 7 years of experience, who focuses on detailed short cuts meant to help the client become more themselves, whatever that means to them. I love working with a variety of textures and focusing on hair health. Each experience is a chance to connect and it’s my goal to achieve good communication and trust so we can have a good time and do something original.

    I’m from Northern California and am a musician and doing haircuts balances out and adds to my creative life infinitely.

    I love a good blow out as well and overall think your hair is your power.

  • Shea (she/they) is a cosmetologist whose goal is to create confidence boosting and identity affirming looks for each person who sits in their chair! Whether you’re looking for a shape up or something creative and different Shea is excited to work with you!

    When it comes to styling, Shea will happily show you how to style your new cut with patience, some nerdy hair facts, and enthusiasm for the natural texture of your hair!

    After 5 years in nonprofit fundraising, Shea wanted a career where she could could be creative and see the impact of her work in real time. When she’s not behind the chair, she can be found crocheting, binge watching shows and movies, and hanging out with their partner and 2 cats!

  • Lillian (she/her) is an Aveda graduate trained by Magda, our owner. She started her career right after high school and has been working with a passion to build her way up in this industry. Book Lillian for both classic and creative cuts, masc and femme, short and long, for all genders! She specializes in curly cuts, with a focus on bobs, pixies, and shags. She is always up for a challenge, is open to new ideas, and loves to personalize a cut for her clients. Lillian is extremely passionate about her work and believes hair should be fun for everyone: feel free to bring all your fun ideas and let them come to life in her chair!

  • My name is Kaitlyn and I was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. I just moved to New York from Austin on a whim and I excited for a new chapter! I attended the University of Arkansas and majored in business/marketing. Afterwards I attended the Aveda Institute to learn the trade of the industry I hope to grow in.

    I am a baby stylist with most of my experience in textured hair, long hair, shags, makeovers, and anything creative. I have a passion for connecting with people and love being able to help someone feel comfortable and confident in their skin.

    When I am not doing hair you can find me in my garden, walking around talking to my parents on the phone, or assisting production on Broadway!
