I’m Kendra, I’m a senior stylist at Hairrari East Village and have been working here for 5 years. I am originally from Washington state and have been living in Queens since 2021. I have 14 years of experience behind the chair, and for six years I was the owner/operator of my own barbershop in my hometown.

I specialize in low‑maintenance diffuser styling, punk‑retro inspired cuts—shags and mullets are my favorites—but I also do classic barbering, polished styles and textured, wash‑and‑go looks that work with your natural hair. I frequently use a razor to create a soft, lived‑in texture and shape that reads effortless and modern. I prioritize precision and personalization, designing cuts that suit your lifestyle and goals.

My cutting style is lived‑in and relaxed. I style mostly with moisturizing products and by diffusing hair to embrace any and all curls. I also enjoy doing a simple blowout for a natural but polished finish.

I understand that most people are mostly wash and go on the daily so I can help you find lazy ways to do your hair, or maybe I will help you realizing doing your hair for 10 minutes is totally worth the result! I don’t do iron styling (no curling iron or flat iron); if you want heat‑styled hair, please arrive to your appointment already styled—I can cut dry to preserve the look. If you prefer to air dry and leave with wet hair just let me know during our consultation.

Every appointment will begin with a thorough consultation talking about what you are looking for in your haircut today and any long term goals for your hair.  Please ask me any and all questions you have.  Photos and videos are super helpful during the consultation process so I recommend bringing realistic pics/videos that show styles on hair similar to your texture and desired length. Please avoid any animated, AI‑generated images or references that are drastically different from your natural texture; the clearer and more realistic the reference, the better I can interpret and adapt the look to suit you.

Shampoos are included with all haircuts but I do ask that you don’t come in with super dirty hair that is 5+ days old.  If you prefer to skip the shampoo come in with freshly washed hair. For my curly clients, please come in with your hair down like you wear it daily so I can see your natural curl pattern and tailor the cut to you.

I love my job and genuinely enjoy creating looks people feel great in. Some days I feel emotionally tired—especially when we serve many clients. If I’m quieter than you expect, it’s usually me managing my energy so I can stay focused and do the best work possible. I read vibes well: if you need quiet, I’ll honor that; if you want to chat about TV, movies, or music, or pop culture, I’m very happy to talk. Some of my special interests these days are Real Housewives, modern horror films, and my life long love of My Chemical Romance. I’m a huge TV fan—especially all things Bravo: Real Housewives, Vanderpump Rules, Traitors, the list goes on. I even had the chance to cut hair for Chef Josh on Below Deck Mediterranean, a highlight of my career and personal life!

I share my life with a tiny senior chihuahua mix named Chiquita. On my days off I recharging with her by my side, walking around the neighborhood, playing Switch games, or catching a movie. I’m an extrovert some days and more reserved other days; if I seem quiet, please don’t take it personally—I’m often pacing my social energy so I can give each client my best.
