  • Mark (he/him) is originally from AZ, but he started his career in the hair industry in Portland. From there he moved to Texas and then Brooklyn, perfecting his craft as a hairstylist, and finally landing in LA.

    He has worked at various salons and shops and mastered the art of making people feel good about themselves after a haircut. Mark is passionate about hair. His clients and previous coworkers speak very highly of him.

  • Sam (he/him) started cutting hair in a punk rock house in Seattle in 2005 and never looked back.

    After attending the Gene Juarez Academy, he apprenticed under Rory McGowan and Keith Funai at Coupe Rokei Seattle. He then relocated to NYC and worked for 7 years at The Corner Barber shop in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, and later moved to Mudhoney Hair Salon, NYC's premier punk salon.

    He recently relocated to LA and is very excited to be back on the West Coast and working at Hairrari.

  • Shmeggs (she/her) was born and raised in Maryland and moved to Los Angeles in 2019.

    She specializes in creative color and transformations. She loves colorful buzzcuts, unconventional color combinations and placements, and anything visually unique.

    She believes hair is a canvas and loves to create wearable art. Shmeggs loves to help people express themselves through their hair and help them bring how they feel on the inside to life. She also loves coloring custom wigs for photoshoots.

    Shmeggs is highly inspired by street fashion and nature as well as editorial. Photography is a huge passion as well and a big influence on the way she colors hair.

  • Emily (she/they) is a hairstylist from the SFV. Truly a Valley girl, they spent the past two years in the sun in Phoenix, AZ. She’s been behind the chair since 2019 but has always had a love for creative hairstyling. Back in LA to stay, Emily loves the city for coffee, food, and the art scene.

    Being half Filipino and getting to work with Latinx and AAPI clientele, she is knowledgeable in cutting and coloring thick, resistant hair. When it comes to beauty standards, Emily likes to challenge boundaries and encourage clients to embrace their own definitions of beauty.

    Long layered cuts, shags, mullets, pixies, bangs - she’s never afraid to chop what needs to go to create fun and functional looks for their clients. She has a background in traditional foiling and balayage lightening techniques, and creative color.

  • Shea (she/her) was born and raised near Boston, Massachusetts where she studied cosmetology and fell in love with the process of creating art through hair. She spent her time experimenting with more unconventional styles and fine tuning her skills in different salons in Massachusetts, before moving to LA in 2021.

    Shea specializes in unique color combinations and textured cuts, and often draws inspiration from techniques that have been popularized by Japanese hairstylists . Her creativity and imagination, with her clients ideas in mind, lead to one-of-a-kind looks that will definitely turn heads. Beyond the salon, Shea’s talents shine on set where she brings her expertise to music videos and photoshoots.

  • Joshua (He/They) is a California native with roots in LA and the Bay. A barber by day and a DJ by night, Joshua graduated from the Aveda Academy in San Francisco.

    He specializes in your typical barbershop styles, such as crisp fades and fresh short cuts. He also loves a good mullet, razor cut or a classic short scissor cut.

  • Sara (she/her) is originally from Europe. She's lived in many different countries including Monaco, France, Sweden and Switzerland. Before moving to LA, she spent time in NYC where she met Magda, the founder of Hairrari. She worked at Hairrari East Village for 3 years before co-opening Hairrari LA.

    Sara studied communications, art and design prior to going to school for hair. She is greatly influenced by the European vibe, and loves doing creative haircuts that will bring you that edge that you are looking for. Her favorite cuts are anything that involves a lot of texture. She is great with shags, mullets, bowl cuts, bobs, fades, business-casual looks, makeovers, and editorial looks.
